De Camargo: "I hope to contribute and be a protagonist for VCF Mestalla"
New VCF Mestalla signing William de Camargo wasted no time in getting acquainted with his new club, undertaking his first training session at the Ciudad Deportiva on Friday morning.
The 21-year-old Brazilian, on loan from CD Leganés, is excited about the chance to show his skills in the second half of the season, as part of the setup at a big club.

“When the possibility of Valencia CF arose, I didn't have to think twice, because of how great the club is and everything it represents. Hopefully everything goes well and I can enjoy my time here a lot," he told VCF Media.
"I'm very happy. As a child I always heard about Valencia CF, and I'm excited to be at this club."

After his first workout with his teammates, De Camargo was impressed by the welcome he received.
"It's a very open group. They are very young players, but also very open and very friendly. I was also able to speak with the coach this morning, and he told me what he wants from me," he explained. "I am here to contribute as much as possible to the team. I hope that, little by little, I can pick up the pace and be a protagonist for VCF Mestalla."

The reputation of the club and the VCF Academy is well known -something that attracted De Camargo instantly.
"I like Valencia CF's style of play, because they go for games and have a lot of the ball. I feel comfortable in possession. I'm skillful, I like to dribble and I like to generate scoring chances for the team, giving assists and scoring goals. My father insisted that I develop my left foot, even though I am right footed."
The Brazilian also boasts knowledge of Segunda B, thanks to his previous loan spell.
"I know the division. I have only played 20 games in it, but I had a very good experience at FC Cartagena, where we were promoted to the Segunda División last season. It is a very tough competition that requires a lot of concentration, and I think I can bring that experience from last year."
