VCF Mestalla return to England this Wednesday to play in a new edition of the Premier League International Cup, a competition that they will combine with the Segunda Federación for another season. The Valencia CF reserve team will be looking for their first win of the season against West Ham U21 in a match that will take place at 20:00 (19:00 UK time) at the Chigwell Construction Stadium in Dagenham and which can be watched live on VCF MEDIA (VCF YouTube, app and website).

VCF Mestalla, who will once again be managed by Sergio Ventosa, want to take advantage of this international match to reverse the dynamic at the start of the season and achieve a victory that represents a turning point and helps the team ahead of next Sunday's match against UD Poblense.

For their part, West Ham's reserve team come into Wednesday's match after four games unbeaten in the different domestic competitions they play in.

It should be remembered that the competition format has changed in this edition of the Premier League International Cup. In this case, the best team among the four representatives of Premier League clubs, as well as the best non-English team from each group, will progress to the knockout stages.

In the 2026-27 season, the Valencia CF reserve team are in Group A alongside Manchester United, West Ham United, Southampton and Middlesbrough, as well as Juventus, AS Monaco and Belgian side CRC Genk.

En esta temporada 2026-27, el filial valencianista forma parte del Grupo A junto al Manchester United, West Ham United, Southampton y Middlesbrough, así como la Juventus de Turín, el AS Monaco y el CRC Genk de Bélgica.

VCF Mestalla and West Ham U21 have already faced each other in this international competition. It was in the 2023-24 season in a match that ended in a 1-0 victory for the London side

Ahead of this match, VCF Mestalla full-back Miguel Monferrer commented: “It is an opportunity to grow, for those who are not playing to gain prominence. In the situation we are in, it can help us to start a better run of form, as we currently do not have the one we would like. We have to correct mistakes, travel and face an opponent who will surely put pressure on us.”
