Etxebarria: "Being at VCF Mestalla is a chance to grow as a player and as a person"
Unai Etxebarria enjoyed his first minutes for VCF Mestalla in the game against Orihuela CF, and put on a great performance in another friendly against Torrent CF -saving a penalty and making a spectacular stop.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper talked to VCF Media this week to talk about his arrival to the team and his expectations for the future.

“I felt really good. I’d been inactive for a long time and getting back onto the pitch is greatly appreciated. I hadn't played since February, but my teammates have welcomed me very well and they made it very easy for me. Little by little I will adapt to what the coach wants,” he said after the victory.

“The team have surprised me a lot. This is a very young team and there is very high quality within it. You can see that they are motivated players, and that has been shown in the games,” he said of preseason.
“With the season being so short, our adaptation has to be very fast. There is no reaction time available. From the first minute onwards we have to go at one hundred percent, and we have to look for the victory in every game. For me, being at VCF Mestalla is a chance to grow as a player and as a person."
