The Eva Duarte Cup is the former name given to the current Spanish Super Cup which also pitted the cup against and league holders.
Across seven seasons from 1946-53 the trophy was awarded to the “champions of champions”in honour of the endower the former Argentina president Juan Domingo Perón.
Valencia CF beat FC Barcelona by 7-4. Asensi and part of the "delantera eléctrica" with Quincoces as team captain lifted the trophy at the end in a match played in Madrid in 1949.
The holders would retain the trophy and they had to return it the following edition. The club will exhibit an exact replica as part of the Tour Mestalla and in the trophy room in the VIP box at Mestalla.
