Ferro excited ahead of possible debut
A whirlwind week for Ferro is coming to a close, with the possibility of the Portuguese player making his debut for Valencia CF against Athletic Club on Sunday. He caught up with VCF Media to talk about his adaptation, having been able to train with his teammates already.
"I'm feeling fantastic. I've been welcomed here fantastically by all of the players and the coaching staff, the medical team... everybody has been trying to help, and to make me feel at home as quickly as possible. I have to thank everybody for this. Training with the team, I feel really good. I want to help and I want to form part of the group as soon as possible," he said, having come in on loan until the end of the season and completed the obligatory COVID-19 isolation protocol.

"It has been great to train with the team. I had been training for 3 or 4 days by myself, whilst tests were being done. Having a kick-around with the ball was really good, with a mini-game, and I'm always happy when I'm out on the pitch," he commented.
Ferro is not alone at Valencia CF, as a familiar face and two other players who speak the same language are also part of the squad and helping him settle in.
"Gonçalo Guedes and Thierry Correia, as well as Gabriel Paulista, speak Portuguese, which makes things easier. Everybody is trying to help, and it's not just those who are Portuguese or who speak Portuguese. Everyone on the team is lending a hand, and on the pitch they are telling me everything that I need. They've really given me a fantastic welcome."
"I want to play, and I want to help as quickly as possible. I'm another player who has come here to help Valencia CF."
