Juan Cruz Sol and Peter Lim: A relationship of admiration and respect

The first time that Valencia CF qualified for the UEFA Champions League since Meriton Holdings' arrival at the club, Juan Cruz Sol expressed his joy in the best way he knew how: Regaling those present at the celebration dinner on the night of the season's final LaLiga game with a song.
 
At the dinner, Peter Lim sat alongside Sol, joining in with the singing in a display of the strong bond between the two. This relationship between them developed further over the years, to the point that they would always be seated next to one another when the opportunity arose, talking about matters involving Valencia CF and with Sol offering his wisdom and experience.

The respect that the world of football has for Juan Cruz Sol is undeniable. For Peter Lim, he was more than just a Valencia CF legend or a member of the board. That is why the majority shareholder had been paying close attention to Sol's condition in the months leading up to his passing, and why he has asked that the club do everything necessary to give him the homage that he deserves, as well as supporting his family at this difficult time.
