More than 150 former Valencia CF players from different eras gathered on Friday for a special lunch, put on by the VCF Footballers Associtation to celebrate the start of the season.
Representing the club itself were director and ambassador Juan Cruz Sol, first team director Salvador González ‘Voro’, and ambassadors Ricardo Arias, Miguel Tendillo and Miguel Ángel Bossio.
VCF Footballers Association president Fernando Giner hailed the club's commitment to players who had formed part of their history. This commitment has been demonstrated with a recent two-year deal signed by president Anil Murthy to increase direct help to the association by 40%.
The lunch was also attended by Valencia Football Federation president Salvador Gomar, and Supporters Group Association president Fede Sagreras.
