Match Report: VCF Mestalla edge out Atzeneta UE in new season run-up friendly (2-1)
VCF Mestalla played their fifth preseason match up against Spanish third tier newly promoted team which share group with VCF Mestalla and they will meet again on the opening day of the competition on the 18th of October.

After the goal Óscar Fernández made a wholesale changes to the line-up as they kept in the same vein. Carlos González struck the post following a fine link-up play between Fran Pérez down the right wing.
Christián pulled one back for Atzeneta UE with a sliced effort which caught out Andrés Céspedes. The goal buoyed the opposition and VCF Mestalla made to work defensively to come away with the win.
