Corberán: “The demands will be at the highest level”
The Valencia CF coach previews the game against RCD Espanyol
Yunus Musah looked back on the 3-3 draw with Atletico Madrid on Matchday 13 of the LaLiga Santander season, pleased with the comeback from 1-3 down.
The fightback
It's very difficult to come back from 1-3 down. We know that we have to improve defensively. It's good to score goals, but we will win more games if we improve in defence.
Previous late goals
We believed until the end, because we'd scored late against Mallorca and other teams. We knew that we could fight back. We fought to the end, with the fans always helping us.
It wasn't just down to us. The fans helped us a lot to react, right to the end.
His own performance
I feel very good. I was really keen to play, and to show the coach that I could do well. I'm happy that we drew, but we always ask for more. If we can score without conceding, then all the better.
The run into the international break
It's important, but we have the feeling that we could have taken 6 points instead of 4 in these past two games. If we improve defensively, then we know that we can score goals and win more games.
Going away with the USMNT
The US national team can qualify for the World Cup. Now that I'm finished with Valencia CF, my mind is on qualifying with the USMNT.
