Need To Know: Curiousities about Valencia CF vs. RCD Mallorca
Eleven players with previous experience
Eleven players in the current Valencia CF squad have played against RCD Mallorca, with Dani Parejo the man with the most goals against the team from the Balearics. He scored twice in games with them when at Getafe CF. The captain is also the only remaining member of the side that played at Mestalla against Mallorca last time around.
Salva Ruiz' 'other' club
Although he won't be available for action today, Salva Ruiz has close ties with RCD Mallorca. In January of 2018 he left VCF Mestalla for Mallorca when they were in Segunda B, and earned back to back promotions with them -including their most recent ascent to the top flight.
Vicente Moreno's latest visit to Mestalla
RCD Mallorca coach Vicente Moreno has coached an away side at Mestalla before, doing so with Nastic on December 19th, 2013, in the Last 16 of the Copa del Rey. He also took to the opposing dugout at the Antonio Puchades two seasons ago, when Mallorca were in Segunda B: VCF Mestalla won 2-1, thanks to goals from Jordi Sánchez and Fran Villalba.
