MATCH PREVIEW | VCF Mestalla looking for a win against Leicester City to change the dynamic
The reserve team faces its second match of the Premier League International Cup this Tuesday in England
VCF Mestalla head coach, Óscar Fernández, assessed the final fixture of the Segunda B season on Sunday the 23rd of May at 5 pm kick-off time (CET) at Hospitalet municipal ground in Barcelona.
“We want to end the season showcasing what this team have been: effort, work sacrifice and the continuous growth. And hopefully we can achieve that victory that has been hard to come by throughout the season.
We’re going to try to take away the positive thing like the process of development which the boys have taken steps forward in, we’ve seen them grow even without the sporting result that the competition reflects.
Beyond it all, we’re going to stand up and be counted because we’re defending the crest and we have to end the season giving the best showing.
It’s going to be a complicated match, like every Segunda B match without the pressure of picking up points because we’re relegated. It’s going to be a box-to-box game. The side with better organisation and transition will be closer to the win.
We’re going to continue turning up, doing what we have been doing well to achieve that long awaited win”.
