Paralympic triathlete Héctor Catalá to undertake VCF-supported indoor Half Ironman
The event, at his home in Valencia, takes place on Saturday morning
Paralympic athlete Héctor Català, a Valencia CF fan who became Paratriathlon world champion in 2019, will take part in a a 'Half Ironman' from his house this Saturday. His attempt can be followed live on VCF Media.
Catalá, who has less than 10% vision in one eye, will run 21km on a treadmill, ride 90km on a static bike and swim 1.9km using a 3 metre pool and tether.
Valencia CF have donated equipment for the athlete, who has previously taken a ceremonial kickoff for the club against Getafe CF at Mestalla.
Donations can be made during Catalá's Half Ironman attempt, with funds raised going towards the fight against COVID-19.

The VCF Academy World Cup will celebrate its fifth edition with a record number of participants
The tournament will bring together 15 teams from the VCF Academy Programs across America, Asia, Europe and Oceania from June 25 to 28 at the Valencia CF Training Ground.
