Soler LaLiga's top scoring midfielder
Carlos Soler added another goal to his tally when he converted a penalty against Rayo Vallecano on Matchday 15, continuing what has been a successful start to the season in front of goal.

Soler already has five strikes to his name this term, making him the highest scoring midfielder in all of LaLiga. There are only nine players of any kind who have found the net on more occasions than him this season, and all of them are regular forwards: Karim Benzema (11 goals, Real Madrid), Vinicius Junior (9, Real Madrid), Juanmi (8, Betis), Memphis Depay (8 , FC Barcelona), Joselu (7, Deportivo Alavés), Luis Suárez (10, Atletico Madrid), Raúl de Tomás (7, RCD Espanyol), Iago Aspas (6, RC Celta) and Mikel Oyarzabal (6, Real Sociedad).

Soler has scored all five of his goals in just eleven games. Four of them have been penalties against Getafe CF, Granada CF, Villarreal CF and Rayo Vallecano. The other, from open play, was a spectacular shot against Deportivo Alavés. The VCF Academy product is Valencia CF's top scorer this season, followed by Hugo Duro (4) and Gonçalo Guedes (3).
Soler has also provided two assists this season, second only to Guedes, with three, on the team.
