Valencia CF and PUMA pay homage to local commerce at Mercado Central
This Friday, Valencia CF and PUMA paid tribute to Valencian commerce at the iconic Mercado Central market in the city centre. Club ambassadors Miguel Ángel Bossio, Ricardo Arias and Miguel Tendillo stopped by each of the stalls to present a special gift to them: The 2020/21 Valencia CF away kit, inspired by the orange industry and the building itself.

There are some 268 stands in the Mercado Central, and they had an orange tone to them thanks to the shirt. The design features a unique print on a vibrant orange colour scheme, transmitting the energy of the club, the fans, the market and the city.

Alongside the Valencia CF legends was Merche Puchades, president of the Mercado Central Vendors Association. Speaking at the event, she said that “We thank Valencia CF and their sponsor, PUMA, for giving visibility to the markets -and in this case the Mercado Central. They have highlighted the sale of Valencian products such as oranges. It is a great opportunity for us to have two institutions, in Valencia CF and the Mercado Central, who collaborate constantly for the promotion of the city.”
