VCF Mestalla earned promotion to the Segunda RFEF after beating CD Acero 3-0 at the Antonio Puchades. The team were able to overcome opponents who arrived on a roll and in third in the table, and took a victory which confirms their progress to Spain's third tier.

In the game itself, VCF Mestalla were awarded a penalty early on, as Musy was brought down in the box, but Fran Pérez's spot kick was saved by the opposition goalkeeper.
