Wass: "It's a step forward in LaLiga and mentally"
Daniel Wass scored the winning goal for Valencia CF against Elche CF on LaLiga Matchday 21, and chatted to VCF Media after the game about a rare headed strike from him -meeting a great ball in from Gonçalo Guedes in the first half.
"We spoken all week about how important it was to get into the box. I did that, and received a perfect cross from Gonçalo. I got my head on it and I'm very happy that it went in," he explained.
"Scoring a goal is very positive, and gives you a lot of confidence for the next game."

Wass was delighted to help the team take the three points, and in particular with the defensive work done to achieve it.
"It's important to win at home, whoever the opposition are. Today's game was especially important for us. Above all, keeping a clean sheet was very important for the defence and for the entire team. It was very important. It's a step forward in LaLiga and mentally."
"Elche didn't create many chances, but we missed many clear opportunities and a penalty. We suffered in the final five minutes."
