Wass: "Three points against Villarreal would help us a lot"
The morning after the defeat to Eibar, back at the Ciudad Deportiva in Paterna, Daniel Wass talked to VCF Media about the diappointment with the Matchday 31 result, the need to get a win against Villarreal at the weekend and the squad's belief that they can still achieve their objectives.
"We're a little hurt about the result from yesterday. The team are always mentally focused on keeping going. There are a lot of games to go and many points in play. The most important thing is the next game," said the Dane amidst the heat and sunny conditions at the training ground.
Of the visit to the Estadio de la Ceramica, he commented that "It's going to be a very tough game. It's a very difficult ground to go to. However, there will be no fans there and right now anything is possible. Of course, we're going there to win. The three points would help us a lot."
"The last game there was a great one for us. We beat them 1-3. That's difficult to do. We pushed in the final five minutes to get the win. It was a great performance from us."
There is still belief amongst the players, and Wass says that he expects better results to come in the final run-in.
"We have a good dressing room and we are sure that we are going to earn many points. There are a lot of games remaining and we hope we can take three points away on Sunday."
