Mamardashvili voted best Georgian player of the 23-24 season

The Tbilisi-born player received the highest possible number of points (231) at the annual gala of the Georgian newspaper Sarbieli, which saw 86 Georgian journalists took part in the voting.
In September, Mamardashvili was already nominated for the Yashin Trophy for the Ballon d'Or 2024. The 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on 28 October at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
2023-24 season, a brilliant campaign for Giorgi Mamardashvili
Throughout the 2023-24 season, Mamardashvili became the best goalkeeper in LALIGA EA Sports 23-24, the goalkeeper with the most consecutive starts in LALIGA (71) and broke his own record for most clean sheets (13) in the domestic competition.
He was also the goalkeeper, along with Unai Simón, with the most penalty saves (3). He was also nominated for the best U-23 player of the month for March in LALIGA EA Sports 23-24.
