“The feeling can’t be explained. I’m very grateful to the club, the fans, and my teammates. I’ve received a great welcome, I feel good, and I’m very happy to have the opportunity to play at Mestalla. It’s been incredible and I hope this is the first of many,” he told VCF Media after the match.
Danjuma scores his first goal as a Valencia CF player against Getafe CF
The Dutch forward made his debut on the scoresheet for Valencia CF and did so against an opponent that had resisted him until now.
Arnaut Danjuma joined Valencia CF this August to strengthen the team’s attack with his speed, dribbling, finishing ability, and versatility. The Dutch forward was already close to scoring on Matchday 2 and, yesterday, he did not miss the chance to do so at Mestalla against Getafe CF, a team he had never scored against before.
Until last night’s match, throughout his LALIGA career with Villarreal CF, Girona FC, and Valencia CF, Danjuma had scored 16 goals, none of them against Getafe CF. The forward wanted to change that statistic and did not forgive at Mestalla. In the 54th minute, he took advantage of a brilliant pass from Javi Guerra: he ran into space, drove the ball forward, entered the box, and fired into the far top corner of David Soria’s goal to put us ahead on the scoreboard (2-0).
