“It is a team that also works well, it is a block.”
Solsona: “Against RCD Espanyol it will be a tough match with lots of fight and work”
The former Valencia CF and ‘perico’ player is the protagonist in L’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio
Daniel Solsona was a Valencia CF player for five seasons (1978-1979/1982-1983) in which he won three titles: the 1979 Cup, the 1979-80 European Cup Winners’ Cup, and the 1980-81 European Super Cup. Before joining the Valencian club, he was part of RCD Espanyol. The former footballer talks, in L’Informatiu of VCF Media Radio, about the upcoming match between both clubs.
Match
“The circumstances make RCD Espanyol be in a good moment, even though they lost against Girona FC the other day. Valencia CF, being close to the relegation zone, has to work and fight every match under that pressure and is forced to win the games. It will be a tough match with lots of fight and work.”
Broken heart
“In Valencia they have always treated me in a spectacular way and I always wish them to win. They deserve to be in a calmer zone. I watch all the Valencia CF matches I can.”
Victory against Getafe CF
“They have to create great confidence to face the next matches. They have to be strong at Mestalla.”
Mestalla
“I have no doubt that the fans are with the team and that the players do everything possible to solve the situation. The support of the people is fantastic.”
RCD Espanyol
“It is a team where everyone works very well, even the attackers. Manolo has achieved it. If the match gets long and is tied, it will be hard for Valencia CF. If you are losing against the ‘perico’ team, it is later difficult to come back. RCD Espanyol fights until the end, they don’t stop running.”
