Today we saw the personality, commitment, dedication, and determination we wanted to see, which has defined the team's second half of the season. Taking this step was necessary.

Analysis of Guido Rodríguez

The club make the signings. I always give my assessment, but I'm not in charge of making transfers. The new signings have brought something special. Guido has a lot of experience, depth, and a level that has allowed him to have the career he has to date. He was very eager to come and help Valencia CF. Sadiq is a completely different type of striker than what we had before, and Unai is being fundamental in defence. Everyone is contributing, and I can't take away from the credit of those who were already here; whether playing more or less than before, they are helping a lot.

Sevilla FC's defensive style

Every coach and every team have their own way of understanding the game. Finding the perfect way to defend doesn't exist. Sometimes when you defend more zonally, you see more weaknesses, or when you defend man-to-man it happens too. Today, we had to understand the game well and compete as the team did. We're satisfied.

Ambition and high standards

Beyond simply defining our objective, we must play games the way that we did today. We need to take steps forward, with determination, being able to suffer as a team. Now it's time to rest and focus on the next match. There's no greater ambition than always going for the three points.
