On a Day Like this … Quincoces II made his debut for Spain

On a Day like this Carlos Díaz Quincoces also known as Quincoces II in the Club's history books. A great captain from the 60’s who arrived at CD Mestalla in 1952 by the hand of his uncle, Jacinto Quincoces who was the head coach at that time and was really demanding of him more than anyone else as he himself mentioned.

 Quincoces made his debut 63 years ago today at the Santiego Bernabeu against Scotland the match ended in a 4-1 win for Spain he boasted eight caps for the national fold all of them as a Valencia CF player where the Basque player made his debut against Nottingham Forest.

Quincoces II featured in a total of 300 matches across eleven seasons. He lifted back-to-back Fairs Cup trophies for Valencia CF which turned him into an iconic Club player for generations to come.
