Gayà, the Valencia CF player with the most total actions, offensive actions and recoveries against Girona FC

During the season, the man from Pedreguer is the team’s leader in opposition attack interruptions and second in passes in the attacking area and shot-creating passes

Valencia CF achieved an important victory in the Matchday 32 game of LALIGA EA SPORTS 25-26 against Girona FC at Mestalla. Beyond the goalscorers, another of the protagonists of the match was our captain José Luis Gayà, who stood out in several general technical-tactical aspects and in defensive and offensive contribution.

In the general technical-tactical factor, he stood out for being the Valencia CF player with the most involvement in play (59 actions, third in the team this season with 1,310) and the one who accumulated the highest offensive volume (46 involvements, third in the Valencia CF squad this campaign with 1,081).

Regarding the technical-tactical variable focused on the defensive side, Gayà was the Valencia CF player with the most recoveries (6) -along with Tárrega, Pepelu and Guido Rodríguez-. During LALIGA, he is the Valencia CF player with the most opposition attack interruptions (64), also first in effectiveness in aerial duels (64%) and third in clearances (79).

Finally, regarding offensive actions (build-up and progression), our captain is the second Valencia CF player this season with the most successful long passes (67); in creation and finishing, he is also second in passes in the attacking area (188) and second in shot-creating passes (21).
