Valencia CF heads into its fourth preseason fixture after drawing 1-1 with Stoke City FC at the bet365 Stadium. The team now returns to Mestalla for the 54th edition of the Trofeu Taronja, a special occasion that will feature a number of tributes and pre-match activities for supporters ahead of kick-off.

Newcastle United, meanwhile, comes into the match following a 4-1 defeat to Championship side Bristol City FC. This will be only the second meeting in history between the two clubs. The first took place during the 2008 preseason at St. James' Park.
