The midfielder reflects on the win over Sevilla FC
Valencia CF midfielder Guido Rodríguez spoke after the win over Sevilla FC on LaLiga Matchday 29
The win
“I'm very happy and pleased to have taken the three points. The win was very important; we knew what we were coming here for and that we had to turn around what happened last week. We are very happy; the team came here to play a very serious game, and to play our way. At times we did that, and at others we suffered, but in LaLiga, especially away from home, there are moments of suffering. We all did it together, and that is the most important thing.”
Defensive sacrifice
“I'm very happy, as the whole team did very well. When we're like this, all together and united, all focused on the same thing, that shows on the pitch. We have to keep going like this.”
The international break
“We have to keep working, improving, doing the things we did well and repeating them, and keep correcting things because this isn't done yet. We have to keep growing, improving, and moving forward together.”
Individual performance
“On a personal level I'm very happy. I wanted to play, to come to this club and enjoy myself, and I am doing so. I'm enjoying myself with all my teammates, the club, the city, everything. I'm very happy.”
