Ryunosuke Sato (Nishitokyo, Tokyo, Japan – 16 October 2006) is officially a Valencia CF player. The new winger arrives to bolster the team's attacking options with his agility, pace and technical ability.
The Tokyo-born attacker arrives at Valencia CF from J1 League side FC Tokyo, having recorded six goals and six assists in 19 appearances. His performances also earned him the league's Best Young Player award.
Sato has been an important player for Japan's youth national teams, having progressed through the country's age-group ranks. During the 2024/25 season, he played for Fagiano Okayama, making 28 appearances, scoring five goals and registering one assist.
Ryunosuke has represented Japan at international level since the Under-16s, progressing through the Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-23 age groups before making his senior debut on 10 June 2025. He became the youngest player in Japan's history to feature in a FIFA World Cup qualifier.
With Japan, he has won two AFC Asian Cups—one at Under-17 level and another with the Under-23s—as well as the EAFF E-1 Football Championship with the senior national team.
