Lato: "If you don't win, then you have to get a point"
Toni Lato was back at Mestalla on Wednesday night, coming on in the game against Sevilla FC and helping Valencia CF to a draw. He talked to VCF Media after the final whistle.
A draw to gain a point
“It is a draw that helps us to continue growing. There have been matches at Mestalla that we haven't been able to dominate, but today was a very close match against good opponents, from which we took a point. If you can't win, then you should at least take a point. Now we move on to the Wanda Metropolitano."
A good match
“Today we should have started the match better. We have to begin games with the highest level of competitiveness. It was difficult for us after their goal. It was a difficult game and we took a point away from it. In the second half we were more solid, although they have a good team.”

A demanding schedule
“A very demanding run of games is coming up, and we have to face opponents like we had today. We are Valencia CF, and if we want to be at the top, then we have to compete with them."
His return to Mestalla
“I had been wanting to play at home in front of our fans again. I had been suffering from injuries for a long time, but I felt good and I wanted to help the team."
