The eLaLiga is contining to grow, just like the Valencia CF eSports division which this season will once again represent the club in the official EA SPORTS FIFA 21 competition, organised by LaLiga and Electronic Arts. The team will fight to improve on the third position achieved last season in the next edition of the tournament, which kicks off on January 12th, 2021.
Valencia CF are one of the pioneering clubs in LaLiga, with their own eSports division. They will have the following gamers as representatives in 2021: Vivi Khofolo, Adolfito and Vicente_haz.
Among the new features of the competition is the 'Regular Season' format, which will be held from January to April.Cclubs will be divided into two groups, with the 16 best teams qualifying for the eLaLiga Grand Final that will be played on May 8th and 9th.
In addition, on April 3rd and 4th the eLaLiga Santander Cup will be held: A tournament in which the eight best-ranked teams from the Regular Season at that point will participate.
The competition is a project that has grown since starting four seasons ago with only 10 teams. In the 2020/21 season it will feature 38 Primera and Segunda Division clubs, in two EA SPORTS FIFA 21 competitions for a total of €300,000 in prize money.
