Valencia CF pays tribute to Joan Querol and Rafa Mahiques for their sporting achievements with the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation

The Valencian athletes have been crowned U20 European champions in race walking and javelin, respectively.

Valencia CF welcomed the visit of Valencian athletes Joan Querol and Rafa Mahiques during the team’s match against Getafe CF, held at Mestalla.

Both athletes recently won gold with Spain at the U20 European Championships, held in Tampere (Finland). Joan Querol was crowned champion in the 10,000m race walk, while Rafa Mahiques claimed gold in the javelin event.

The Club’s General Director, Javier Solís, together with Valencia CF legends and ambassadors Ricardo Arias and Miguel Tendillo, welcomed the athletes and presented them with personalized jerseys featuring their names. The president of the Spanish National Sports Council, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, was also present at the event.
