The VCF INCLUSIVO TEAM prepares the final phase of LALIGA GENUINE at Mestalla
The final phase will be played this weekend in Bilbao
The VCF Inclusivo held a very special training session at Mestalla as a warm-up for their participation in the final phase of LALIGA GENUINE, which will take place in Bilbao this coming weekend (May 31 and June 1) at the Lezama facilities.
Placed in the Respect group (the other being Sportsmanship), VCF Inclusivo will play a match against RC Deportivo de la Coruña on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., another match on Saturday against Deportivo Alavés at 5:30 p.m., and a third one on Sunday against SD Eibar Fundazioa at 10:30 a.m.
Before facing these three matches, VCF Inclusivo shared an emotional afternoon at the Mestalla Stadium, accompanied by Aquaservice, the team’s main partner.
Since the 2016-17 season, the VCF Foundation has been working with the DI community (Intellectual Disabilities) through its VCF Inclusivo program, currently supporting 65 players with intellectual disabilities, giving them the opportunity to practice football as a powerful tool for motivation, personal development, and social interaction.
The objectives of LALIGA GENUINE are: normalizing football practice among people with intellectual disabilities; strengthening the commitment of professional football to this inclusive and socially responsible project; and encouraging LALIGA clubs to have their own GENUINE team. VCF Inclusivo, in collaboration with the VCF Foundation, has been one of the participating clubs since the first edition (2017).
